Holidays

The holidays this year were best described as uneventful. Chris and I went out to dinner Christmas eve and the came home and opened presents, few though they were. I had given Chris one of her gifts early as there was a possibility of it being used during Sarah and Doug's visit and she gave me a combined Birthday/Christmas gift for Christmas.

Christmas day we drove to Fayetteville, arriving around 2pm. We drove Elma (mother) over to my nephew's house (Eric) for Christmas dinner. At Eric's house were (of curse) his family, Sue's parents and one brother, Chris (my sister) and Ray, Brother in law and Nathan (Nephew). We visited, ate dinner and drove back to mom's house.

Saturday Chris and I went to Charleston for 3 days. We enjoyed the city and Chris showed me the college she attended as well as where she lived. We walked around the city, ate at some nice restaurant's ad visited a tea plantation. This is an area that we would enjoy visiting again. Drive home was up 17 (instead of the interstate) and was uneventful. We did stop at a couple of antique stores but did not purchase anything.
